Solutions Architect

Description/Role:

As a Senior Solution Architect you will help build our application landscape, working closely with the Product & Technology and Customer Operations circles during a critical initiative involving shared services and network integration. The consultant will bridge the gap until a permanent hire is onboarded and coach the new internal architect during transition.

Responsibilities:

• Define end-to-end solution architecture for initiatives aligned with our vision, guardrails and business objectives.
• Translate business needs into solution designs, alternatives, and transformation roadmaps.
• Document decisions, assumptions, and pro/con analyses for forums and stakeholders.
• Engage in stakeholder management across multiple teams and tribes.
• Provide guidance and coaching to the future internal architect.
• Ensure compliance with architectural principles and long-term modernization goals.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in solution architecture or enterprise architecture

Strong knowledge of:

• Agile methodologies, Lean Architecture
• Design principles (SOLID, Domain Driven Design, Microservices)
• Modelling techniques (UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, C4)
• Familiarity with telecom BSS/OSS systems and integration concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.

Must have skills:

• Proven seniority in solution architecture roles.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and initiative-taking attitude.
• Experience in high-level solution design (not detailed technical design).
• English fluency.
• Ability to coach and transfer knowledge.

Nice to have skills:

• Dutch language skills.
• Experience in telecom industry.
• Knowledge of generative AI concepts.
• Agile certifications (experience is more important than certificates).
